How do I know if my SnapCam LE is Powered On?

When the SnapCam LE is operational, the Power LED will light up on the top-side of the camera to let you know it is functioning. You can also test by operating the camera, simply tap on the shutter button on the top of the camera.

 

Press Power/Mode button.

LED will change colour to indicate current mode; will beep twice to indicate mode change.

Mode will change in this order: Still/Single > Time Lapse > Video/ Normal.

How do I know if my SnapCam LE is Powered Off?

Power off the SnapCam LE by holding the Power button found on the top of the device for approximately 3-5 seconds. 3 beeps can be heard. When these beeps ends, the Power LED will turn off and the camera will not operate.

Why won’t my SnapCam LE Power Up?

If you are using the camera for the first time, please use the cable provided to charge your camera ensuring that it is connected to power 2-3 hours before use.

An amber battery LED found on the top side of the camera will light up to show it is charging.

When this is solid, the SnapCam LE is fully charged.

 

 

You can then Power on the Camera by holding the Power button found on top of the device for approximately 3-5 seconds. The GREEN Power LED will blink indicated with a beep to let you know that the SnapCam LE is operational.

What do the LED Lights indicate on my SnapCam LE?

The SnapCam LE has 4 different LED Lights which indicate different functions found within the camera.

The Power LED will change to color to indicate the current mode and will beep twice to indicate the change of modes.

 

GREEN – Indicates photo mode.

ORANGE – Indicates Time Lapse mode.

RED – indicated Video mode.

 

 

A small AMBER LED will be lit when the camera is being charged.

How Do I Activate the Cameras Wi-Fi Function?

In order to use the SnapCam LE’s built in Wi-Fi you must do the following:

-Download the app from the App Store or google Play Store*

-Access the app where you will be prompted to activate the Bluetooth function on your device.

-Select ‘Wake Up’ through the app and select the SnapCam LE from available devices.

-Once Bluetooth is connected, you will be prompted to go to your Settings and connect to the SnapCam LE using the password ‘0123456789’

-Now go back to the app and start the connection.

You will now be presented with the cameras Viewfinder and be able to remotely control the cameras functionality as well as access/change the settings of the SnapCam LE.

 

*SnapCam LE App is currently available on Android and iOS only.

How do I Upgrade my SnapCam LE’s Firmware?

Why doesn’t my Computer recognize my SnapCam LE?

Please ensure that you are using the cable provided to connect to your PC.

 

In order for your camera to connect, you must have a memory card inserted into the MicroSD port.

Please ensure that you are using Memory Card Class 6 or above with Maximum 32GB capacity.

My SnapCam LE does not Capture Photos/Video?

Please ensure that the Camera Is fully charged and is switched on.

When Powered On: Ensure that the Power LED is lit up.

Press the shutter button, a beep should indicate that you are capturing with the SnapCam LE.

My SnapCam LE’s Power light keeps Blinking Red when trying to Power On & SnapCam LE will not read my Memory Card.

A Red Blinking Light Indicates that the Memory Card you are using is not compatible with the SnapCam LE

In order for your camera to operate, you must have a memory card inserted into the MicroSD port found on the side of the device.

 

Please ensure that you are using Memory Card Class 6 or above with Maximum 32GB Storage.

 

It is recommended to Format your Memory Card before use.

The SnapCam LE App is available via the AppStore on iOS or the Google Play Store for Android.

My SnapCam LE’s Wi-Fi picture is fuzzy?

When Connected to SnapCam LE App, please ensure you there is no distance greater than 10m between the SnapCam LE and Mobile Device.

How do I Reset the SnapCam LE?

You may need to reset the SnapCam LE if the device becomes unusable.

This can be done by simply holding down the power button for approximately 10-15 seconds.

The SnapCam LE will then become powered off. You should now be able to power on the SnapCam LE as usual and should function as expected.

How do I change the Settings of the SnapCam LE?

Settings for the SnapCam LE can be changed by simply connecting the Camera using the cable provided to either a PC or Mac. Ensure that there is power to the device when connecting.

 

Once connected you will need to access the built-in app found in the drive names ‘PC TOOL’.

 

Within this app, you can change multiple settings.

What settings can be changed within the SnapCam LE and what does each function do?

The SnapCam LE boasts a wide array of functions which can either be changed via the built-in app (PC/Mac) or on the move using the SnapCam LE’s app. (see How Do I Activate the Cameras Wi-Fi Function?)

 

Photo:

Capture Mode: Single Capture/Burst Shot

Photo Resolution: 8M/2M/VGA

Exposure: -2.0 – +2.0

 

Time Lapse:

Interval Time: 1sec – 5min

Photo Resolution: 8M/2M/VGA

Exposure: -2.0 – +2.0

 

Video:

Recording Mode: Normal/Loop Recording (10 min/30min)

Video Resolution: 1030p30fps/720p60fps/720p30fps/VGAp120fps/VGAp30fps

Exposure: 8M/2M/VGA

Cyclic: This setting allows the SnapCam LE to re-write over the current file if the memory card becomes full. This allows you to have a constant flow of recording.

 

General Settings:

Sound Volume: Low/Med/High

LDC: Large Digital Camera: Enable the camera to a wider view that similar to a digital camera.

EIS: Electronic Image Stabilization: Uses electronic processing to control image stability. If the device sensors detect camera shake, EIS responds by slightly moving the image so that it remains in the same place.

Trigger Auto Mode

Date Stamp (Photo/Video): Date stamp setting for photo/video so you can know when the images were captured.

Auto-Power Off: When Camera is in not being used, the camera will turn itself off to save battery life.

 

Format available to clear memory card of all contents.

Reset allows the user to reset the SnapCam LE’s settings.

 

All of these settings are available to change through the SnapCam LE’s mobile App. Available for iOS and Android only.
